Location: Westborough or Woburn, MA (Hybrid – onsite Tuesday through Thursday)

Duration: Contract

Shift: 8-hour workday

Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a dynamic IT organization focused on delivering scalable, high-quality enterprise software solutions. This role involves hands-on development, system integration, technical design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications and digital initiatives.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience with MuleSoft integrations, Java/J2EE technologies, cloud platforms, and modern web services architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in technical analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise applications.
• Design and develop scalable APIs, integrations, and distributed applications using MuleSoft and Java technologies.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
• Develop proofs of concept and digital prototypes using modern technologies and frameworks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and solution designs.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
• Follow software development best practices, coding standards, and DevOps methodologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technology evaluations.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

• MuleSoft & Cloud Technologies
• Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft development and integration solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of API-led connectivity, web services, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Java / J2EE Technologies
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using:
• Java/J2EE
• Spring Framework
• Spring MVC
• Hibernate
• JSP
• Java Server Faces (JSF)
• STRUTS
• Oracle ADF technologies
• Experience working with J2EE application servers.
• Web Technologies & Integration
• Experience with:
• HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript
• REST and SOAP web services
• HTTPS, FTP, SMTP protocols
• Messaging and orchestration technologies
• Additional Preferred Technologies
• Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Angular, React, Bootstrap
• MongoDB, Redis, SOLR, ElasticSearch
• Salesforce Apex
• Oracle APEX and PL/SQL
• SQL Server, SharePoint
• Python or Kotlin
• GitHub, BitBucket, TFS, or VSTS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 4 years of relevant experience
• OR
• Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and distributed system architecture.
• Familiarity with scalable application development and deployment methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
