Cloud Engineer – Denver, CO / Plano, TX
Cloud Engineer will support the design and implementation of cloud solutions across multiple products. This role contributes to developing architecture blueprints that guide technical teams during project delivery and ensure solutions align with technology and product roadmaps.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, designers, and software engineers to help evaluate solution options, address customer needs, and support scalable, reliable cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in producing cloud architecture blueprints to guide solution development and implementation
- Support the creation and presentation of solution recommendations to customers
- Help define operational procedures, KPIs, monitoring, health checks, and escalation processes
- Contribute to accelerating development of roadmap features to meet customer requirements
- Identify project risks and pain points and support mitigation efforts
- Support continuous improvement by contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing, blogs, and internal training sessions
- Capture project learnings and help translate them into architectural best practices
- Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to review customer requirements and identify platform enhancement opportunities
Skills & Knowledge
- Understanding of enterprise cloud solutions and experience deploying solutions in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, and HTTP
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenStack, VMware, and related networking components (load balancers, networking devices)
- Experience designing or supporting high availability and disaster recovery/failover solutions
- Exposure to databases or application integration technologies
- Strong foundation in Linux fundamentals
- Familiarity with open-source architecture (contributions a plus)
- Experience supporting scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of relevant experience
- Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) certification preferred
