Hiring for RAN System Engineer in Plano, TX (Fully Onsite)
Key Technical Requirements
- Strong 4G/5G RAN Call Processing expertise
- Deep understanding of 3GPP Layer 2/3 protocols
- Analyze and troubleshoot 3GPP protocol call processing:
- RRC, NAS, MAC Layer
- End-to-end RAN and Core protocols
- LTE --> NR interworking, SA/NSA, Massive MIMO
- Experience with SA/NSA, Massive MIMO, Hybrid Beamforming
- Solid background in scheduling algorithms, KPI analysis, and log analysis
- Hands-on troubleshooting of software validation and network performance issues
- Ability to generate technical reports, analyze results, and discuss deliverables with customers
Role Responsibilities
- Support software validation and feature performance testing in customer networks. .
- Communicate findings and prepare reports for customer approval of software releases.
- Collaborate with RF engineers for field test execution but primarily office/lab-based role.
- Expected to handle multiple projects with flexibility; strong analytical skills required.
- Execute system-level performance analysis and troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical reports for customers and provide validation of software deliverables.
Candidate Profile / Preferences
- Ideal: 8–12 years of experience in wireless system engineering or vendor environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; may consider candidates without a degree if strong domain expertise.
- Strong communication skills; ability to work directly with customer engineering teams.
- Looking for system-level experts, not RF optimization engineers.
- Prior experience in RAN system integration, log analysis, and troubleshooting highly valued.
- Technical Skills:
- Protocol knowledge: 3GPP, RRC, NAS, MAC
- KPI analysis, log analysis, and troubleshooting
