Role Overview

NextGen Coding Company is supporting a partner outpatient psychiatric practice in the recruitment of a Patient Care Coordinator to support clinical operations and patient experience within a modern mental health setting.

The role is highly patient-facing and plays a central role in coordinating care delivery, supporting innovative treatment programs including Spravato (esketamine), and ensuring a seamless, professional experience for patients. The position serves as a bridge between patients, clinicians, and administrative workflows, maintaining operational efficiency and high-quality care standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, calm, and professional environment for patients and visitors
• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients throughout the treatment process
• Provide in-office support during Spravato monitoring sessions in coordination with clinical staff
• Coordinate scheduling, patient flow, and daily clinic operations
• Support outreach and administrative initiatives to drive program growth
• Communicate with insurance providers to assist with authorization and verification workflows
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, healthcare, business, or a related field

• Ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Comfort working with administrative systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a healthcare, clinical, or patient-facing role
• Exposure to Spravato, TMS, or similar mental health treatment programs
• Experience with insurance coordination, prior authorizations, or verification processes
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR or clinical scheduling platforms
