Become a Key Player as a Winder Operator (PAF)
You will operate and maintain bobbin winder equipment to meet production targets and quality standards. You will support the Value Stream Team Lead and work closely with maintenance and warehouse staff to keep machines running smoothly. This is an onsite, 2nd-shift role (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday).
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Set up and operate bobbin winders according to manufacturing specifications
- String wire through bobbin winders and adjust counters to required footage
- Fill oil containers and keep bobbin machines operating continuously
- Record production data on WW2 for labeling and place finished bobbins on the wire table
- Pull material from the warehouse as needed and report production issues to the lead
- Maintain a clean, orderly workspace and follow 5S and safety practices
- Detect and report problem areas or unusual conditions to the Value Stream Team Lead
- Perform related tasks and support other classifications as assigned
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to complete 1–8 weeks of on-the-job training (may extend to 10 weeks)
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic use of hand tools and demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to sustain continuous mental, visual, and audio attention
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
- Prior production or manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Experience monitoring machine sounds to diagnose issues
- Good math, reading, and writing skills
Pay Range
$17.75/hr $2 shift differential
