Job synopsis:
The Maintenance Account Manager is responsible for the management of sales and relationships of maintenance clients. The Account Manager’s role is to manage a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. The Account Manager should provide exceptional client service and high-level relationships. Account Manager’s should anticipate their client’s needs and be their one-call problem solver while upholding the values of our company, contributing to company goals, and acting in the best interest of our employees, clients, and assets to ensure success. The Account Manager should have knowledge of local plant types, turf types and identification of common landscape issues and knowledge of common solutions. The Account Manager should also continue the learning of Horticulture through educational seminars or courses each year. Account Manager’s must maintain a positive attitude and promote culture of growth and positivity within the division, company, and among staff members.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide proper scope of work and accurate timing for production within the opportunities
- Approve project paperwork and verify final invoice is accurate
- Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and make sure customer information is accurate
- Review previous sold jobs for performance on estimated vs actual
- Knowledge of sold contract and what property details are needed for production and crew members to perform work
- Provide work ticket notes, maps, and any other information pertinent to allow production to perform the job
- Develop and maintain a client schedule to perform site audits per property through the Aspire form
- Work as a team with your fellow account managers to share industry knowledge and resources
- Inspire and educate teammates to ensure a high level of adoption of new systems
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture or related field, or commensurate experience
· Experience: 2 years prior work experience in landscape account management or similar role
· Knowledge of local plant types, turf types, and identification of common landscape issues and knowledge of common solutions
· Good written and oral communication skills
· A demonstrated ability to develop strong professional relationships in business setting
· Strong computer skills
· Servant-leadership qualities. Show a willingness to help out wherever help is needed (i.e., no task is beneath you).
