What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Brand Manager (Revenue & Pricing Focus) position at Next Step Recruitment?
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a highly analytical, commercially curious Associate Brand Manager to join a fast-moving e-commerce team focused on pricing, revenue, and marketplace performance.
This role is well-suited for someone who thinks like a revenue or pricing analyst but wants to apply those skills in a hands-on e-commerce environment. You’ll work directly with live data, make pricing and inventory decisions, and see the impact of your work quickly.
This is not a brand marketing or SEO role. It’s a numbers-forward, ownership-oriented position for someone early in their career who wants responsibility and a steep learning curve.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and adjust marketplace pricing to optimize sell-through, margin, and ROI
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and competitive pricing trends
- Build and maintain weekly reporting on pricing, revenue, and sell-through
- Develop and document repeatable, data-backed pricing strategies
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, content, and sourcing teams to improve performance
- Identify growth opportunities using data and marketplace insights
- Support new product launches from research through execution, with a commercial lens
Who This Is For
You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:
- Enjoy working with numbers, tradeoffs, and performance data
- Are motivated by revenue impact and business outcomes
- Want ownership rather than narrow task execution
- Are early in your career and ready to move fast
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in revenue analysis, pricing, e-commerce operations, consulting, or analytically driven roles
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, models, scenario analysis)
- Comfort working with data and turning insights into action
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through
- Marketplace experience (Amazon, Walmart, Shopify) is a plus, not required
What This Role Is Not
- Not a brand marketing or social media role
- Not SEO-focused
- Not purely strategic—you’ll be hands-on in the data daily
Why This Role
- Direct exposure to pricing and revenue ownership
- Fast feedback loop with visible performance impact
- Steep learning curve in e-commerce and marketplaces
- Strong foundation for future roles in brand management, revenue strategy, or general management
