Overnight Shift: $18.00/hr Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30pm to 8am (Off on Monday and Tuesday)
No health benefits. PTO starts after a 3 month probationary period.
Position Summary
The Overnight Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides supervision, support, and accountability for residents in a Level III recovery housing environment. This role helps maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-focused living environment by monitoring resident activity, enforcing house expectations, completing documentation, and responding appropriately to resident needs.
The BHT provides recovery support and residential oversight but does not provide clinical treatment, counseling, medication administration, or medical services.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, substance-free, and supportive recovery environment overnight.
- Monitor resident activity and ensure compliance with house rules, curfew, and community expectations.
- Complete regular safety checks of the residence.
- Respond appropriately to resident concerns, conflicts, emergencies, or rule violations.
- Provide encouragement, accountability, and recovery-oriented support to residents.
- Maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships with residents.
- Complete shift notes documenting important events, concerns, and resident updates.
- Communicate relevant information to leadership and incoming staff.
- Support house cleanliness, organization, and daily operations.
- Follow all recovery housing policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety procedures.
