The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting function, contributing to month-end close activities, preparing financial statements, and assisting with various analytical and process improvement initiatives. This role requires strong general ledger experience, expertise in compiling accrual-based financial statements, and the ability to work effectively within a large ERP system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
This is initially a 3-6 month assignment but could potentially lead to a permanent position.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of financial statements for multiple entities
- Month-end close
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Journal entries including accruals, reversing entries, prepayments
- Intercompany transactions
- Treasury including setting up wires and transferring funds between multiple accounts
- Assist in the consolidation of financial statements
- Process improvements
- Audits
- Special projects
Senior Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience compiling accrual based financial statements
- Experience working for a large, complex organization
- Solid general ledger experience
- Multi-entity experience a plus
- Experience working with a large ERP system; systems-savvy and adaptable
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and to hit deadlines
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments
