Next Level Event Design is seeking an enthusiastic, senior-level Event Producer to join our team on a contract basis for major projects underway this year, with the opportunity for full-time hire upon successful completion. Position Overview:
At NLED, the Senior Event Producer is responsible for planning and coordinating every aspect of a meeting or event, from pre-production through on-site execution. Working closely with Account Managers and Clients, the Producer oversees projects from start to finish, anticipating challenges, driving solutions, and ensuring excellence at every stage. This role calls for a balance of creativity and strategy, exceptional communication and time-management, and confident, collaborative leadership. A passion for live events, a commitment to exceptional client and partner service, and a high level of professionalism, confidence, respect, and gratitude are essential.
This is a contract position supporting key 2026 projects, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance and project needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Event Execution: Ensure all assigned projects are produced to Next Level standards while meeting goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Client Communications: Serve as a primary client-facing lead, maintaining consistent communication from early planning through post-event.
- Project Management: Develop and manage project plans and event specification guides, driving deadlines and clearly communicating updates across all stakeholders.
- Budgeting: Develop, manage, and actualize all associated event costs throughout the project.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and keep the lines of communication open and active throughout the planning process, managing expectations and budget.
- Event staffing: Analyze the pre-production and on-site staffing needs for an event; strategically securing, communicating, managing, and executing the project with that team of event professionals.
- Line Producer Management and Mentorship: Delegate clearly and collaboratively while supporting growth and development across the production team.
- Creative Insights: Leverage industry knowledge and trends, best practices and protocols into projects wherever possible. Attend industry networking events, continuing education programming, and be active within the industry to ensure exposure to all the industry has to offer to then be able to offer that to our clients.
- On-site Support: Participate in the on-site execution of company events in a principal role throughout the year.
- Event Concepting : Assist in the creation of events in the form of proposal development, participating in research and brainstorming sessions, acquiring vendor quotes, developing themes and concepts, and assisting in writing proposal copy.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Industry Trade Equivalent (CMP/CSEP) preferred
- Preferred 10 years prior event experience
- Proven track record of executing successful events in a lead/executive producer role
- Strong professional and creative communication skills (written and verbal)
- Solid organizational ability
- Efficient and effective planning and coordinating skills to ensure all stakeholders understand their role and deliver on-time to the required standard
- Strong computer skills with efficiencies in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
- Strong time-management and multitasking skills with the flexibility to reprioritize tasks quickly and independently without losing sight of deadlines and deliverables
- A strong ability to keep calm in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Must be able and willing to work long hours when necessary, as well as occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be able and willing to travel for destination events as required (currently less than 25% of the year is outbound travel).
- Physical labor is a part of the job. You must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs
- This is a BYOD (“bring your own device”) position, a laptop computer and mobile phone are required
- Must have a driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to see the sunshine through the storm and be able to laugh at the end of a long day!
Benefits Include:
This is a contract role paid on an hourly or project-based rate, based on experience and scope of responsibility, with potential conversion to full-time.
