HR Shared Services Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented HR Shared Services Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will provide first-class HR support to employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle while ensuring an exceptional employee experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday, HR shared services, and employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, benefits administration, I-9 compliance, and offboarding.
As part of the HR Shared Services team, you will respond to employee inquiries, resolve HR-related issues, maintain knowledge resources, and collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to ensure timely and accurate HR service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers through the employee portal, email, and other communication channels.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring requests are resolved accurately and within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide support across all stages of the employee lifecycle, including:
- New hire onboarding
- Benefits administration
- I-9 and employment verification
- Employee data changes
- Offboarding and separation processes
- Process HR transactions within Workday and maintain accurate employee records.
- Guide employees in utilizing self-service HR tools and resources.
- Create, update, and maintain HR knowledge base articles, policies, and process documentation.
- Identify process gaps, inconsistencies, and compliance risks, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, including Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and other HR teams.
- Provide recommendations to improve HR processes, tools, and employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Shared Services, or HR Operations.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HRIS.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle events.
- Experience with:
- Benefits administration
- Employee onboarding
- I-9 verification and compliance
- Offboarding processes
- HRIS data management
- Strong customer service orientation with experience supporting employees and managers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
