As a Housekeeper at Courtyard by Marriott Bethesda Chevy Chase, you are the hands-on backbone of our guest experience.
Each day you'll clean and prepare guest rooms and public spaces to Marriott's brand standards — making beds, refreshing bathrooms, restocking amenities, and ensuring every detail is guest-ready.
Your work directly shapes the impression guests carry with them long after checkout.
Our 226-room property serves a steady mix of business travelers, government visitors, and families exploring the D.C. metro area.
Located steps from the Friendship Heights Metro, you'll be part of a collaborative team that takes pride in a clean, welcoming, and sustainable environment.
What You'll Do Clean and service assigned guest rooms — making beds, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing bathrooms, and mopping floors to brand standards Restock all in-room amenities including towels, linens, toiletries, coffee supplies, and informational materials
Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the housekeeping supervisor promptly
Handle guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or supplies with a friendly and timely response
Maintain cleanliness in hallways, elevators, lobbies, the fitness center, pool area, and other public spaces as assigned
Organize and maintain your housekeeping cart, ensuring proper stock levels and cleanliness throughout your shift
Follow all safety, sanitation, and LEED sustainability protocols — proper chemical handling, waste sorting, and linen reuse programs
What We're Looking For
Previous housekeeping experience preferred — hotel experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering a consistently clean, well-presented room
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Friendly, professional demeanor — comfortable greeting guests warmly if encountered in hallways or rooms Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus but not required
