Job Summary
We are seeking a bilingual(Spanish speaking preferred) dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or PA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health, telehealth services, and the ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. The FNP will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including urgent care and primary care environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Manage acute pain management strategies for patients.
- Utilize telehealth technology to provide remote consultations and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
- Address the unique healthcare needs of working individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational health and urgent care services.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is essential.
- Previous experience in primary care or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records management is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing patients with acute pain and working within a Level II Trauma Center is a plus.
- Knowledge of healthcare needs for individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial.
