We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing, private equity-backed organization. This position offers a combination of technical accounting, financial reporting, and finance responsibilities.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience managing complex accounting activities, and the ability to strengthen accounting processes while supporting broader financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to complex accounting transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with finance and leadership teams on financial reporting and business initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and strengthen financial operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
