Join Nexiya today to become part of an elite team of experts in the utility industry. **Must have recent construction payroll experience including prevailing wage**Roles and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the initial stages of weekly payroll processing using Foundation, Arcoro and timecards ensuring compliance with company policies. Verify timekeeping data, track time off in the HRIS and Foundation systems, and process weekly garnishments, 401(k) loan payments, child support orders, and tax withholding changesAdminister Certified Payroll: setting up and monitoring prevailing wages, hours, fringe benefits, tax withholding, and weekly deductions in accordance with regulations. Ensure daily/weekly communication with customers to maintain compliance with state and federal project requirementsHandle project job start- up tasks, including locating and entering DIR number, prevailing wage determination, setting up tables with all trades and fringes, maintaining and providing the applicable documentation to customers for prevailing wage projectsResponsible for uploading certified payroll and labor compliance documents to the DIR, LCP Tracker, Texture and other online reporting systemsPrepare and upload weekly payroll taxes, 941 deposit and CA State TaxIdentify and resolve payroll discrepancies completing adjustments and corrections as necessaryAssist with certified payroll labor compliance, including Fringe Benefit Statements, Proof of Contributions, and other relevant documentation as requestedSupport external audit requests under the guidance of your managerGenerate periodic payroll reports for management review and decision-makingRespond to employee payroll queries, under the supervision of management and complete wage verifications as requestedReview and approve timecards for temporary employees and ensure the accuracy of agency invoicesPerform various administrative tasks, and other duties as requested or assignedEducation/Experience Requirements: High school graduate or GED.2 years of construction payroll experience, including prevailing wage, and labor compliance.Experience with Foundation is preferred.Familiarity with LCP tracker and DIR (Department of Industrial Relations)Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and payroll management systems.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently or within a team under minimal supervision, while accuracy in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.Demonstrates discretion and professionalism with a high level of maturity and judgementEffective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain information clearly to both internal teams and management.Strong knowledge of basic math, including decimals, fractions, and percentages.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Proven adaptability to changing priorities, and a dependable team player.Physically able to perform all job duties, which necessitate:Continual and/or frequent visual concentration without any visual or auditory impairment not correctable to normal levels or that would impair safety of individual or others.
