Claims Analyst I

Nexiya is seeking a motivated Claims Analyst I professional with experience in processing claims in subrogation, motor vehicles, personal injury, and/or property damage. This individual will provide crucial support to our client who is a major utility company in San Diego. Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Investigate, analyze, and pursue recovery against entities that damage Company facilities, property, equipment, and/or facilities.  
• Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of insurance company's liability concerning personal, casualty, bodily injury, loss of business, or property loss or damages, and attempt to effect settlement with claimants.  
• Responsible for overseeing claims processing and payments to third-party providers, monitoring charges, and verifying correct payment of claims. 
• Send denial letters on claims and send follow-up requests for information.  
• Sets up claims and reviews payment reports for accuracy and compliance. 
• Perform other job duties as assigned  

Education/Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree preferred OR equivalent work experience.  
• 3 years of minimum experience in general liability, bodily injury, motor vehicle accidents, and/or subrogation insurance work 
• Ability to negotiate and influence claimants.  
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision and with urgency 
• Ability to work in a team environment 
• Must be a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail 
• Strong customer service skills and proactive follow-up (internal and external) 
• Strong communication and writing skills 
• Must be able to apply critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 
• Must be able to successfully pass our background screening process 
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the US

Pay Range:  

 
Min: $23/hour 
Max: $28/hour
