Welder - Structural Steel Fabrication | Hurricane, UT
Nexeo Staffing is looking for a Welder to join a growing structural steel fabrication operation in Hurricane, Utah. This is a great opportunity for skilled welders, as well as recent technical school graduates, who take pride in quality fabrication work and are looking for a long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, detail drawings, section views, and welding symbols.
- Layout, fit, and weld structural steel assemblies.
- Complete fabrication work according to drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
- Operate grinders, cutting equipment, and other production equipment.
- Perform dimensional inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist with material handling and movement.
- Identify and report quality concerns.
- Maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow established safety procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass an in-house 2G weld test by the third day.
- Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and section views.
- Proficiency with tape measures, squares, hammers, and standard fabrication tools.
- Must have basic personal tools, including a tape measure, square, hammer, welding helmet, and steel-toe boots.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attendance record and ability to consistently report for scheduled shifts, including overtime and occasional Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of production welding experience preferred.
- Recent technical school graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with AWS and AISC fabrication standards is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
Don't have all the gear you need? An equipment program may provide up to $2,000 in necessary equipment, which becomes yours after 90 days, subject to program terms. Required PPE is provided, including safety glasses, protective jacket, gloves, and hard hat. Team members also receive ongoing in-house training in welding standards and procedures.
Pay
$20.00 – $26.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
