Shaping Technician | Logan, UT
Nexeo HR is seeking a professional, motivated individual to join the Shaping Department of an innovative optics manufacturing company in Logan, UT. This company produces precision optical components used in advanced technologies across industries such as aerospace, medical imaging, scientific research, and manufacturing.
This is a hands-on production role focused on the cutting, grinding, and polishing of glass components in a machine-shop-style environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable following technical instructions and working with precision tools. Flexible schedules may be available, including for students; however, candidates must be able to work full-time.
Responsibilities
- Safely cut, grind, and polish glass components
- Work according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Use inspection and measurement tools to verify product quality
- Follow ISO 9001 quality procedures and production standards
- Support department improvements and process efficiency initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking
- Comfortable with basic math and measurement tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Preferred: Prior machine shop or manufacturing experience
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Schedule
Full Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
