Set-Up Technician | Logan, UT

Nexeo HR is seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Set-Up Technician to support production operations within a ceramics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tooling and associated equipment used in dry press and roll compaction processes. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high production standards, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and target production tooling, tool capsules, and associated hardware
• Perform precision bench work, including synchronization of press components and offloading devices
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, determine corrective actions, and complete repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and uptime
• Operate shop equipment such as lathes, bench grinders, and other tools as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and participate in equipment upgrades
• Support kiln operations and assist mechanical technicians and supervisors as needed
• Advise operators on proper use of presses and offloading equipment
• Maintain accurate reports, databases, and equipment records
• Promote and follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with team members and across shifts to ensure continuity of operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Set-Up Technician or in a similar role
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and machine setup
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Basic data entry and reporting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Pay
 $18.69–$22.43 per hour

Schedule
 Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
