Senior Pipe Support Engineer (Direct Hire)

Nexeo HR is seeking an experienced Senior Pipe Support Engineer to support major mission-critical facility design, defense infrastructure, and advanced industrial engineering projects. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for engineers with strong expertise in pipe support design, structural analysis, ASME B31.3, AISC codes, and 3D modeling platforms such as SmartPlant 3D or AutoCAD. Candidates with backgrounds in nuclear, petrochemical, LNG, refineries, heavy industrial environments, data centers, or power facilities are strongly encouraged to apply. This position offers competitive pay, a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off), and the opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant engineering modernization program.

Responsibilities

• Design and place pipe supports for complex piping systems

• Perform engineering calculations to confirm load requirements, stability, and structural integrity

• Review and approve piping layouts in compliance with ASME B31.3, AISC, and DoD standards

• Integrate pipe support designs within 3D model environments (SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, etc.)

• Conduct structural and frame analysis using GT Strudl or similar tools

• Develop and maintain drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation

• Collaborate with pipe stress, structural, mechanical, and layout engineering teams

• Ensure designs meet project codes, constructability standards, and cost efficiency targets

• Participate in design reviews, redlines, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility)

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline

• 8 years of pipe support design experience

• Experience with large engineered facilities (nuclear, industrial, petrochemical, LNG, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, AISC, piping hardware, and structural codes

• Proficiency with 3D model platforms (SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, etc.)

• Experience with stress/structural analysis tools (GT Strudl preferred)

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (including marijuana)

• Real ID–compliant driver’s license or state ID required



Pay

$118,000 – $150,000 per year
