Quality Lab Technician - Manufacturing QC

Quality Lab Technician | Ogden, UT

Nexeo HR is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to support quality control operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for tracking and analyzing samples, performing laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate has laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

•    Track and monitor sample flow through the laboratory to ensure timely analysis

•    Perform and document laboratory testing in accordance with SOPs

•    Conduct basic analytical and standardized laboratory tests

•    Assist with more complex lab testing methods and procedures

•    Maintain laboratory databases and controlled documents

•    Prepare reports related to product specifications and test results

•    Support raw material release for production use

•    Assist with preparation of reagents, test solutions, and chemical compounds

•    Perform basic instrument maintenance and troubleshooting

•    Support stability testing programs, including sample logging and tracking

•    Coordinate testing with internal departments and external laboratories

•    Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of samples using Chain of Custody procedures

•    Assist with ordering laboratory supplies and equipment

•    Train and support other laboratory personnel as needed

•    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

•    Associate’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience

•    1 year of laboratory experience preferred (or 3 years of related experience)

•    Experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment preferred

•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

•    Knowledge of laboratory procedures, testing methods, and instrumentation

•    Experience with analytical equipment such as pH meters, FT-IR, or combustion analyzers is a plus

•    Familiarity with microbiological assays and aseptic techniques is a plus

•    Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and analyze data

•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment

Pay 

$21.00 per hour

Schedule 

Full-time | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
