Quality Control Inspector 

Nexeo is hiring a Quality Control Inspector. This role works under the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing materials and products to ensure all quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements are met. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate documentation while preventing nonconforming parts from reaching customers.

Responsibilities
• Operate measuring equipment including CMM and manual tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
• Inspect incoming and outgoing products for flaws, defects, and deviations from prints
• Verify First Article procedures, perform dimensional checks, and confirm material certifications
• Keep accurate logs of material certifications and weld personnel qualifications
• Document inspection results and attach all required documentation in the ERP system
• Initiate and document corrective action plans when deviations are identified
• Serve as the final approval authority for parts being shipped to customers
• Ensure no product is approved for shipment unless all quality metrics are met
• Identify damage, verify quantities, and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Work closely with project managers to understand customer expectations
• Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving to clear products for shipment
• Assist forklift operators and drivers with packaging and loading products for delivery
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date inspection and quality data for customer needs

Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards and procedures
• Experience using CMM equipment and manual measuring tools
• Ability to read prints and verify dimensions against product and materials
• Comfortable working with computers and multiple software systems
• Highly organized with strong documentation and data-entry skills
• Able to communicate clearly with team members and management
• Responsible and dependable with a strong understanding of quality accountability

Specific Requirements
• Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 100 pounds
• Ability to stand or remain stationary up to 50% of the time
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and trailers as needed
• Ability to operate industrial machinery, including a forklift
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to weather conditions
• Must be able to communicate effectively and exchange accurate information
• Must be able to observe and inspect details at close range
• Must pass all required quality inspections and documentation procedures

Pay Rate
$18.00 per hour

Schedule
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
