Molding Technician | Salt Lake City, UT

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working hands-on with precision tooling? As a Molding Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping high-performance plastic injection molds running safely and efficiently. Working alongside experienced Lead and Senior Mold Technicians, you’ll gain exposure to complex tooling, advanced equipment, and continuous learning opportunities in a clean, professional manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on plastic injection molds—both in-press and on the bench
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, organize, and reassemble complex, high-cavitation molds
• Stone and polish mold components to maintain performance and surface quality
• Assist with machining, fabricating, repairing, or modifying mold components
• Help introduce and support mold unwinds, setups, and timing
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Read and understand 2D drawings and 3D models
• Accurately complete tooling paperwork, FA reports, and work orders
• Understand torque settings and work confidently with standard and metric systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
• Follow all company, OSHA, FDA, EPA, and ISO compliance standards
• Support preventative maintenance, calibration, training, and housekeeping initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with basic shop tools, hand tools, and shop math
• Understanding of mold components, injection molding machines, and terminology
• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical assemblies
• Exposure to machining or hot runner systems is a plus — but not required

Pay
 $27.79 per hour

Schedule
 Full Time | Monday – Friday | 6:30am – 2:30pm
