Machine Operator/Production Associate | Ogden, UT

Nexeo Staffing is hiring Machine Operators / Production Associates for multiple full-time positions in a steel processing and manufacturing facility. These positions include machine operation, steel and coil processing, material handling, forklift operation, and general production duties.

We are looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment. Previous machine operator, production, manufacturing, forklift, steel processing, or material handling experience is a plus, but training is available for specific equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor steel processing and production equipment.
• Load and unload steel and other materials from machines, trucks, railcars, and storage areas.
• Operate or assist with tube lasers, tube benders, flat lasers, press brakes, plasma cutters, saws, and coil processing equipment.
• Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Read work orders and follow customer specifications.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify accuracy.
• Inspect materials throughout the production process to maintain quality standards.
• Package, palletize, band, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, warehouse, forklift, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and safety instructions.
• Ability to use a tape measure and basic measuring tools.
• Willingness to learn forklift and overhead crane operation; company training and certification provided.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Frequent bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, twisting, and stretching.
• Ability to climb in and out of forklifts.
• Comfortable working around moving machinery and in a manufacturing environment with moderate to continuous noise.

Pay

$19.50 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
