Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities (All Roles)

• Assemble and install computer hardware, server components, and cabling per technical schematics and SOPs.

• Perform quality inspections, verifying part accuracy, serial numbers, and component condition.

• Install rack hardware using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records using internal systems and Excel.

• Use laser measurement tools to align and position server racks with precision.

• Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and hardware repairs.

• Decommission or prepare systems for redeployment following strict data security protocols.

• Safely operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks and straddle stackers.

• Follow build documentation, workflow processes, and safety procedures to ensure efficiency.

• Cross-train to support additional data center functions as needed.

Additional Responsibilities – Builds Lead Only

• Lead daily build operations, ensuring projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Supervise and train team members on server rack assembly, documentation, and tool usage.

• Conduct detailed quality checks on inbound/outbound hardware and materials.

• Assign daily tasks and monitor team productivity to meet SLAs and department goals.

• Maintain communication with cross-functional departments to resolve workflow or scheduling challenges.

• Promote safety, organization, and process improvement throughout the build environment.

Qualifications

Builds Associate

• 1–2 years of experience in data center operations, IT hardware assembly, or electronics manufacturing.

Builds Lead

• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, data center, or technical environment.

All Candidates

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace; experience with SAP, WMS, or RF scanners preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs individually and team lift up to 100 lbs.

• Reliable transportation to the USA Parkway, Sparks worksite.

• Must pass a 10-year national background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Pay

• Builds Associate: $25.00 per hour

• Builds Lead: $28.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Overtime on weekdays & Saturdays required as needed.
