Accounting Manager | Ogden, UT

Nexeo HR is hiring on behalf of a leading company in the security systems industry for a Hybrid Accounting Manager based in Ogden, UT. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, ensures accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and supports strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in accounting within construction or field service environments.

Responsibilities

•   Manage the monthly financial close process and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)

•   Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations

•   Oversee cash management, forecasting, and working capital

•   Monitor billing accuracy and cost controls

•   Maintain internal controls and support tax filings and audit requests

•   Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations

•   Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with leadership

•   Oversee job costing and project-level financial tracking

•   Manage accounting systems such as ServiceTitan, Sage, or similar ERP platforms

•  Support payroll, billing, and reporting in a B2B field services environment

Qualifications

•   5 years of experience in general ledger accounting

•   Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

•   Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)

•   Construction or field service accounting experience preferred

•   Knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, WIP/inventory, and lease accounting

•   Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

•   CPA, CMA, or CGMA preferred

•   Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance teams

•   Detail-oriented with a data-driven, process-focused mindset

•   Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Requirements

•   Must have hands-on accounting experience in a similar role

•   Must be experienced with ERP/accounting systems

•   Must have a strong understanding of GAAP

•   Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

•   Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Pay

$60,000 – $90,000 per year

Schedule

Full-time

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
