Duties
- Prepare pizza and other ingredients following established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Cook pizzas using various methods to achieve optimal flavor and presentation
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking to ensure continuous production
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-volume production while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge pizza making skills
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or dietary needs
- Excellent food handling skills with an understanding of dietary department requirements if applicable
- Prior experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus
