Installation Technician (Security Systems & Life Safety)

• Location: North Dakota (Travel up to 50%)
• Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Status: Full-time
• Reports to: Installation Supervisor & Project Manager
• Pay Range: $22 – $38/hr (based on experience)

Position Overview

As an Installation Technician, you’ll install and configure cutting-edge security and life safety systems. From pulling cable to programming panels, your attention to detail ensures safe, reliable systems that protect people and property.

Key Responsibilities

• Run and route cable and conduit
• Install and mount cameras, intrusion panels, access control systems, and related hardware
• Work alongside other contractors to complete projects
• Program and test all installed systems
• Provide end-user training upon project completion
• Conduct acceptance testing and inspections with AHJ
• Support service and annual inspection needs
• Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Ability to distinguish wire colors
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Clean driving record
• Willingness to travel overnight (up to 50%)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• Positive, “can-do” attitude

Preferred Experience

• Telecommunications, security, or life safety background
• Familiarity with Vesda systems and data centers
• Electrical or technical skills
• NICET certification or related training
