What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant position at Newtown Vet Hospital?
We are excited to add to our growing team Kennel team!
Come join our privately owned Kennel facility at Newtown Vet Hospital . We are 7 Doctor Veterinary Practice that has a small Kennel area that is separately run from the hospital. We are looking for dedicated, hardworking and outgoing Team Members.
In this position you will be expected to work as a team and give quality care and attention to our clients animals staying with us.
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Walking, medicating and feeding dogs of all sizes.
- Cleaning, feeding and caring for cats.
- Cleaning and laundry
- Animal/customer care duties.
House keeping Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Maintaining cleaning schedule through out day for Kennel areas/ laundry.
· Working with Kennel supervisor and assistant to facilitate animal care and client communication.
· Learning proper disinfecting protocols.
· Helping to facilitate and execute client drop off of patients and delivery of medications.
· Cleaning in Kennel areas, intake areas and holding areas. Also upkeeping other areas in out hospital as well.
