Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. This role is essential in ensuring the health and happiness of the animals in our care while also supporting our clients with exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, medicating, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facilities.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff/owners.
- Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Strong background in Animal Care, ensuring the well-being of various breeds.
- Excellent Customer Service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Experience working in a Kennel environment is beneficial.
- Strong Dog Handling skills to ensure safe interactions with all breeds.
