Newspress, the world’s leading provider of press information services for the automotive industry, has an opening for a Client and Content Manager
We are a company that works with major car brands as well as many automotive industry brands, managing press material on their behalf, specifically delivering and managing their own-brand media websites.
We are also redefining how PR tools and services come together in one integrated ecosystem, bringing fully connected services & intelligence to busy PR professionals.
Our Unique Offering - myNewspress - combines content distribution, media monitoring, newsroom management, and performance insights into a single ecosystem with the media website at its core.
Two of our biggest accounts globally are centred in the Greater Los Angeles area and we are seeking a highly professional, self-motivated and ambitious individual to join our growing team to help manage these accounts and support the wider Newspress operation globally.
About the role:
- Working as part of a close-knit global team to manage client press materials, including word, image and video files, as required, on Newspress-run websites.
- Upload press releases and related content and accurately update materials on all relevant websites, liaising with colleagues and clients wherever necessary.
- Manage media distribution lists using in-house systems.
- To assist with any other duties in relation to the day-to-day operations of Newspress as required by the management team.
- To ensure client and Newspress materials are added to appropriate websites on time and accurately.
- To ensure 100% accuracy of the content and delivery of client materials at all times, applying the company’s security of operation procedures.
- To maintain good relations with clients at all times and ensure that any client dissatisfaction or client-related problems are reported to a member of the management team at the earliest opportunity.
- Be willing and able to travel to and work from major US auto shows and other events as well as client offices as required.
What we’d like from you:
Ideally, you will have a journalism, PR or earned media measurement background, experience or interest.
What we need from you:
- An analytical approach to ensuring that materials being handled are accurate and correctly managed.
- A good level of understanding of the content of the press materials being processed.
- A professional and confident approach to all work-related communications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
A working knowledge of the following programs for the preparation and uploading of content to websites:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel (basic knowledge)
- HTML (basic knowledge)
- Adobe Photoshop (basic knowledge)
- Adobe Acrobat (basic knowledge)
- CMS (basic knowledge)
Full training will be given.

What else you need to know:
The position will be home-based in the Los Angeles area with periodic work travel.
The role will report to the VP Newspress USA Inc. based in Virginia and will support an established contractor role based in Los Angeles which has worked across the key accounts in question for circa 10 years.
