Newsom Eye is seeking a highly organized, detail‑driven VP of Surgical Services to oversee daily operational functions across our ambulatory surgery centers. This role ensures seamless coordination between clinical teams, anesthesia services, supply chain, credentialing, and regulatory compliance to support safe, efficient, high‑quality surgical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and contracted services
- Negotiate materials contracts to optimize cost and supply reliability
- Enforce ASC policies and procedures to maintain compliance and operational consistency
- Manage physician, CRNA, and professional credentialing and re‑credentialing
- Maintain facility licensure including AAAHC, AHCA, CLIA, DEA, HCCE, Biomedical Waste, and Pharmacy
- Oversee procurement and inventory management of surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, implants, instruments, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations
- Coordinate safety and emergency preparedness training with Nurse Managers (fire drills, disaster drills, emergency preparedness, code blue, sterile procedure, generator, pharmacy, biomedical)
- Lead ASC staff orientation and compliance training in collaboration with Nurse Managers
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations to ensure seamless communication and workflow between clinic locations and surgery centers
- Coordinate and manage anesthesia services including scheduling, communication, and operational support
Qualifications
- Experience in ASC operations, surgical services, or healthcare administration
- Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements (AAAHC, AHCA, CLIA, DEA, etc.)
- Experience with supply chain, inventory management, or materials management in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced surgical environment
- Strong collaboration skills with clinical leadership and anesthesia teams
