Newsom Eye is seeking a patient‑focused Optometrist to join our established, multi‑specialty ophthalmology practice in Brooksville and Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams for new and established patients
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease
- Provide contact lens fittings and follow‑up care
- Co‑manage cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and cornea patients with our surgical team
- Educate patients on treatment plans and vision care
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Active Florida license (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in medical optometry preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, team‑oriented environment
