What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Analyst Distribution position at Newsday LLC?
Summary of Position
This role is responsible for supporting the strategic planning, organization, and control of the daily operation of distribution, service, retention, single copy sales and collection, and advertising initiatives/programs for Newsday and its contracted products.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Collect and prepare single copy weekly affidavits, credits and financial adjustments.
- Assists distribution supply inventory.
- Assists with analyzing and monitoring vendor settlements including rates and prepare weekly vendor adjustments.
- Assists with preparing home delivery service, single copy sales and other metrics for weekly scorecard reporting.
- Assists with reviewing, analyzing and preparing the distribution expense budget, including fee considerations, and all other operating expenses.
- Assists with preparation and fulfillment of distribution agreements
- Assists in the maintenance of Single Copy outlet account balances; Assists with distribution accuracy verification audits.
- Assists in monitoring and analysis of Customer Experience (CX) measurements via distribution research surveys
- Maintains positive business relationships with independent contractors.
- Supports all routine actions associated with the successful planning, execution and maintenance of alternate delivery clients and other address-specific products.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Job Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience working
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) required; Knowledge of running Business Objects reports preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a deadline driven environment with changing priorities
- Requires sense of urgency
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills
- Excellent customer service orientation and collaborative demeanor
Physical Requirements
- This position is hybrid with a three-day-per-week, in-office requirement.
- Ability to lift, carry and move boxes/items up to 25lbs
- Reliable means of transportation and valid driver’s license in good standing.
Compensation
The hourly base rate for this role is $23.79.
