While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The temperature of the environment may fluctuate drastically from very cold to very warm temperatures. The noise level may range from moderate to very loud.

Essential Functions
- The Cafeteria Attendants performs duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of cafeteria area.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed per Newrest and client’s requirements
- Communicate effectively with all crew members and team members
- Prep salad bar, garnishes, desserts, and snack bar as needed.
- Set up, maintain and breakdown the food lines, serve food.
- Be held accountable for all expectations
- Continuously monitor food standards, workflow and activities and quality of product
- Ensure cleanliness of cafeteria and serving areas
- Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Prior experience working in food service preferred.
- Must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with non-exempt to upper management levels
- Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through
- Detail-oriented and ability to see big picture
