We are seeking a skilled Designer II to join our in-house architecture team. In this role you will independently own the production of architectural documentation for a commercial retail portfolio, working closely with Senior Designers and Designer IIIs to deliver accurate, standards-compliant work across active development and leasing projects.

PRIMARY CONTRIBUTION
Delivers accurate, standards-compliant architectural documentation independently — reducing review burden on senior staff and keeping projects on schedule.
PRODUCTION OWNERSHIP
• Independently produce architectural drawings and documentation across assigned projects
• Develop site plans, elevations, lease exhibits, and property exhibits
• Maintain project-specific material and design criteria files
• Perform thorough self-QA/QC before submitting work for formal review
COORDINATION & PERMITTING SUPPORT
• Incorporate tenant requirements into base building documentation
• Review consultant and tenant drawings under Senior Designer or Designer III direction
• Support permitting submittals and coordinate responses to jurisdictional comments
• Verify accuracy of legal descriptions, surveys, and submitted documentation
STANDARDS & TEAM CONTRIBUTION
• Apply and follow departmental drawing standards consistently across all deliverables
• Support Designer I staff through informal guidance and targeted drawing reviews
• Contribute feedback and lessons learned to the ongoing improvement of standards
QUALIFICATIONS
• 6 years of experience in architectural production, preferably in retail, commercial, or mixed-use development
• Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with architectural documentation standards
• Experience producing permit-ready drawing sets and coordinating with consultants
• Working knowledge of entitlement documents, legal descriptions, and lease exhibits preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent project deliverables
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field preferred
