WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …
The People Operations Manager is a key member of NMH’s Human Resources team, responsible for leading talent acquisition and core HR operational execution. This role owns full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and orientation, workforce data and reporting, HR credential validation for employment and role requirements, compliance execution, and HR systems integrity. The position plays a critical role in maintaining workforce continuity, regulatory readiness, and operational consistency during periods of organizational change.
Essential Duties:
- Own full-cycle recruitment from requisition through hire, including proactive sourcing, outreach, screening, interview and offer coordination, and transition to onboarding
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies using multiple channels (e.g., LinkedIn outreach, direct sourcing, referrals, recruitment events, job fairs, and community partnerships), while maintaining active candidate pipelines and engagement
- Partner closely with hiring managers to align staffing needs, manage timelines, ensure readiness, and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the hiring and onboarding process
- Track, analyze, and report on workforce and recruitment metrics including headcount, vacancies, turnover, time-to-fill, and hiring activity
- Manage and optimize recruitment and onboarding workflows, templates, and tracking within Paylocity and related systems
- Coordinate all administrative and operational steps of onboarding and offboarding, including Day 1 orientation, first-day and early-stage check-ins, and cross-department readiness
- Validate required credentials for employment and role qualification, including conducting NPDB checks, and maintaining licenses, certifications, health requirements, and compliance documentation for HR files & the HRIS
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready HR records related to employee status changes, promotions, compensation updates, and reporting relationships; support audits and compliance reviews as needed
- Provide first-level HR support for routine employee inquiries and workforce transitions, escalating issues appropriately
- Conduct exit interviews, identify trends, prepare summary reporting, and support HR leadership with workforce planning, projects, surveys, and HR-led initiatives
- Conduct recurring monthly and annual internal HR audits (e.g., benefits enrollment, credentials, HRIS data, personnel files) to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for external or regulatory audits
Requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in recruitment, HR operations, or HR systems administration
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail, follow-through, and relationship management
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity strongly preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Experience supporting audits, credential tracking, or compliance documentation strongly preferred
