Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers, ensuring adherence to best practices in behavioral health, mental health counseling, and psychotherapy.
- Oversee patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, intake processes, and treatment planning to deliver personalized care tailored to individual needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing across diverse client populations.
- Manage crisis intervention efforts and crisis management protocols to ensure immediate support during emergencies involving mental health or behavioral crises.
- Ensure accurate medical documentation, medical records management, and compliance with 42 CFR Part 2/HIPAA regulations while maintaining detailed clinical data collection for research purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management strategies for patients with complex needs, including addiction counseling.
- Lead clinical research initiatives aimed at improving treatment outcomes and advancing best practices within the organization’s scope of services.
- Promote a positive team environment by providing ongoing training in areas such as medical terminology, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies.
Experience
- Proven experience in behavioral health or mental health settings with a strong background in clinical counseling or psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, and working effectively under pressure during urgent situations.
- Hands-on experience with home & community care programs as well as direct support roles involving individuals with addictions.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and ASAM criteria.
- Strong background in applying evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to lead clinical teams through research projects or clinical trials while maintaining high standards of patient care and ethical practice.
