RN Clinical Hospice Director

Duties

• Provide clinical supervision and management of hospice care services, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, including Medicare guidelines.
  
• Develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, incorporating medical, psychological, and emotional support strategies.
  
• Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records.
  
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care delivery, monitor resident progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  
• Supervise nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing training in nursing administration and shift management.
  
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws such as HIPAA and maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and resident care standards.
  
• Manage day-to-day operations of hospice services within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings while fostering a culture of compassionate care.
  

Requirements

• Valid RN license with current state licensure required; experience in nursing home or assisted living environments preferred.
  
• Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing management or nurse management roles.
  
• Extensive knowledge of hospice care practices, including the development of care plans and documentation review processes.
  
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical records management and documentation accuracy.
  
• Strong understanding of Medicare regulations related to hospice services and reimbursement processes.
  
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and residents’ families.
