Job Description
Member needs a dependable caregiver to provide hands-on support with daily activities due to limited walking and limited range of motion. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, attentive, and comfortable assisting with safe mobility, personal care routines, and light household support to help the member remain comfortable at home. The caregiver should be confident with safe transfers/positioning, encouraging independence when possible, and communicating clearly about comfort needs related to chronic pain. Experience supporting individuals with mobility limitations is strongly preferred. Home environment: No smoking in the home. No pets.

Required Duties (Texas STAR PLUS)
Texas STAR PLUS caregiver support may include the following tasks based on member needs:
Driving/Shopping: Not indicated on intake. If errands or shopping are later requested, caregiver may need reliable transportation.
- Mobility Assistance: Support with limited walking, safe ambulation, and fall-prevention awareness
- Transfers & Positioning: Assist with safe transfers (as needed) and comfortable repositioning
- Personal Care: Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene as needed
- Toileting Support: Assistance with bathroom routines and incontinence care if applicable
- Meal Support: Meal prep and light cooking aligned with member preferences
- Light Housekeeping: Tidying, dishes, wiping surfaces, sweeping, and maintaining a safe walkway/free of clutter
- Laundry: Wash/dry/fold and changing bed linens as needed
- Medication Reminders: Reminders only (no administration)
- Observation & Reporting: Note changes in comfort, mobility, or condition and report to agency/supervisor
- Companionship: Supportive presence, conversation, and encouragement with daily routines
