As the Lead, Service Enablement Group (SEG) – Payroll Process, you will drive payroll excellence through standardization, automation, and governance. You’ll shape payroll operations across global regions by leading system integrations, compliance controls, and continuous improvement.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $126,480- 166,005. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.

Your impact
As the Lead, Service Enablement Group (SEG) – Payroll Process, you will drive payroll excellence through standardization, automation, and governance. You’ll shape payroll operations across global regions by leading system integrations, compliance controls, and continuous improvement.
As part of our team you will
- Design and optimize global payroll processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
- Lead payroll system integration planning, testing, and deployment.
- Define payroll KPIs and governance dashboards to monitor process performance.
- Analyze payroll cost-benefit scenarios and automation readiness.
- Establish RACI models and ensure compliance across regions.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance to align payroll with business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or related field; CPP or payroll certifications preferred.
- 7 years of global payroll experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or ADP).
- Experience with payroll audits, controls, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong process optimization and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities across global teams.
- English proficiency required; Spanish a plus.
- The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
- Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
