NY32BJ Freight Operator

Essential Job Duties :

• Operate safely within policy, procedures, and governmental regulations and fully participate in safety programs
• Operate manual freight elevator in a 45 story office building.
• Check egress and ingress of deliveries and vendors.
• Perform critical operations to keep facility running:
• Provide a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, knowledgeable interaction
• Monitor/Inspect equipment to ensure it's in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of the facility and equipment - notify management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns.
• Be an involved/engaged member of a team and be willing to act and think independently.

Skills, Education and Experience:

• Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma / GED
• Ability to problem solve and make decision as needed
• Demonstrated self-starter and high initiative
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work effectively in a union team environment
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather, climb ladders, and work from heights
• Potential to work long irregular hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Ability to work in a potentially physically strenuous environment
• Strong mechanical skills Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Strong communication, reading, writing & math skills

Salary Range Language:

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $144,957 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
