POSITION: SUPERVISOR OF CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION
TERM: Twelve-month work year
REPORTS TO: Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree from accredited college or university.
- Valid School Administrator/Principal/Supervisor Certificate or Eligibility.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in the supervision of programs and staff and curriculum development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assist with administrative responsibilities of the Principal.
- Provide leadership to the professional staff to plan, implement, articulate and evaluate all instructional programs and curriculum.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee development and implementation of curriculum.
- Perform administrative functions essential to school operations.
- Promote professional development of instructional staff.
- Facilitate communication of curriculum goals and achievements.
- Conduct IEP meetings as determined by the Principal.
- Engage in outreach activities to benefit school operations and its students.
- Undertake additional responsibilities for student safety and welfare.
- Be well-versed in the social decision-making, problem-solving curriculum, social thinking curriculum, and social-emotional programs at the school.
- Participate in professional development programs.
- Keep current on the latest educational and behavioral strategies.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with other professional staff members to elicit the very best from students.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Principal.
