About the Role:

As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services that meet quality and cost standards. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers globally, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency. Your efforts will directly contribute to cost reduction initiatives and inventory management, supporting the overall operational goals of the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, production, and finance to align purchasing strategies with business needs. Ultimately, your role ensures that the purchasing process is executed smoothly, leveraging technology and market insights to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply management roles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MRP software for managing procurement and inventory.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase order management, and supply chain principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with global sourcing and vendor negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with bar code technology and inventory tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with cost reduction methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end purchasing activities including creating and processing purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through global sourcing strategies to secure competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings and favorable contract conditions.
  • Utilize ERP and MRP systems to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to align procurement plans with operational requirements and project timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or compliance.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives by analyzing spending patterns and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and generate reports to support management decision-making.

Additionally, familiarity with bar code technology supports accurate inventory tracking and data management, enhancing overall procurement accuracy and efficiency.


Salary : $50,000 - $68,000
