The RN Clinic Nursing Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for nursing services within the clinic setting. This position supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care through coordination of daily nursing operations, staffing resources, workflow processes, and patient care activities. The RN Clinic Nursing Supervisor serves as a resource and liaison among nursing staff, providers, patients, and clinic leadership while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, Rural Health Clinic (RHC) requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. This position also provides direct patient care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice for patients across the lifespan.
This is a Full Time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm position
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily nursing operations, including staffing assignments, scheduling, coverage, and delegation of responsibilities to support efficient clinic operations and quality patient care.
- Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff, providers, patients, and clinic leadership.
- Provides coaching, mentoring, and performance management support for nursing staff and participates in employee performance evaluations.
- Assists with recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of nursing personnel.
- Identifies staff development needs and coordinates ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with hospital and clinic policies, standards of practice, Rural Health Clinic (RHC) regulations, HIPAA requirements, infection prevention protocols, and safety standards.
- Provides direct patient care and serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff while ensuring care is delivered in accordance with provider orders, evidence-based practices, and organizational standards.
- Supports the management and coordination of clinical nursing services, patient care activities, and ambulatory care operations.
- Maintains a safe and efficient clinical environment by ensuring appropriate staffing support, equipment readiness, and supply availability.
- Supports quality improvement, patient safety, population health, and preventive care initiatives through performance monitoring and continuous improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required.
- Clinic or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Previous leadership, charge nurse, preceptor, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork and maintain positive working relationships.

Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must obtain within 90 days of hire if not current at the time of hire.
