Product Manager, Insurance Distribution Channels

We are working with a client who is seeking a Product Manager to lead the buildout of new insurance distribution channels. The company currently distributes exclusively through independent agencies and is investing to open two new channels: a direct-to-consumer online channel and a hybrid agency/online/phone model. The Product Manager will own the buildout of these capabilities, partnering closely with IT and reporting to the existing Head of Product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the company’s direct-to-consumer online purchasing channel in partnership with IT and internal stakeholders
• Develop a hybrid distribution model allowing customers to research, quote, and bind coverage through digital and phone touchpoints
• Translate insurance product requirements into clear technical and operational specifications
• Coordinate across underwriting, compliance, and technology to bring new channels to market
• Assume operational ownership of the new distribution lines as channels mature, and contribute to the broader product roadmap

Who We’re Looking For

The strongest candidates will bring insurance product knowledge and digital distribution experience. Backgrounds from online carriers, comparison platforms, or insurtechs are particularly relevant. The right person enjoys being hands-on with complex channel problems and is comfortable working within an existing product leadership structure.
