What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer, Digital Marketing position at Newlink®?
Responsibilities
- Digital-First Creation: Stay ahead of trends and innovation, specifi cally for social media and other relevant digital formats (Reels, TikTok, Stories, etc.).
- Dynamic Content: Create dynamic and interactive formats such as GIFs, short videos, teasers, and motion assets.
- Strategic Design: Understand team briefi ngs and conduct independent research to innovate formats within design objectives.
- Creative Versatility: Design digital ads, catalogues, branding, email blasts, and high-level PowerPoint presentations.
- Pitch & Defense: Participate in team meetings and client presentations, providing a creative perspective and defending your ideas.
- Project Management: Maintain fl uent communication on job status, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and keep fi les organized using approved coding.
- Production Oversight: Spec jobs for production quotes, negotiate printing costs, and supervise print-production work when necessary.
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain client branding guidelines while allowing for constant innovation and graphic growth
- Mastery of Tools: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Video & Motion: Advanced knowledge of After Effects, Premiere or Final Cut Pro is highly prioritized for this role.
- Photography: Ability to color correct and retouch photography. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of print preparation, Microsoft Offi ce (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Mac environments.
- Mindset: A "gamer" mentality—passionate about design, eager to learn, and detail-oriented
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in a similar position, preferably within a creative agency environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related fi eld is preferred
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio is required, showcasing expertise in branding, digital marketing, and specifically social media/video content.
- Principles: Deep understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
