What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/ Front of House Team Member position at Newk's Eatery?
We have immediate need for evenings during the week and weekend, starting time 4pm on Weekdays with 11 am available during the weekend . Working as a team member at our restaurants is a great starting part-time job for college students. You will gain valuable experience in customer service. We value our employees and offer a positive and encouraging environment as well as ample opportunities for career advancement. This is a great first job or a second income on the weekend. Tips generally add an additional $2-3 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude.
- Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, returning trays to the kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, and servicing restrooms.
- Handle guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy.
- Work together with the kitchen team to prepare foods such as sandwiches, pizza, soups, and salads while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements.
- Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to a corporate dress code.
