The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our clients. This position involves managing financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and financial compliance in a skilled nursing environment. The Director will assist leadership in ensuring the client’s financial health, contribute to strategic decision-making, and work closely with other leadership teams to maintain operational efficiency.
Pay range: $160k-$175k
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting support and financial reporting for all entities in our portfolio
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key trends, financial performance drivers, and areas for cost optimization. Provide regular performance insights to leadership, including variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning, ensuring alignment with operational goals and market conditions.
- Cost Management & Efficiency: Perform detailed analysis to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities across operations, with a focus on optimizing staffing levels, supply chain costs, and other operational expenditures.
- Leadership & Staff Development: Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to ensure staff are effectively trained and aligned with the facility’s financial goals.
- Financial Reporting & KPI Management: Develop, maintain, and present financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring clarity in financial performance and progress toward goals.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support the facility’s growth and operational goals. This includes in-depth monthly review of financials and target-setting with entities across our portfolio
- Scenario Analysis & Projections: Assist VP of Finance in financial models for various business scenarios, including potential acquisitions & expansion opportunities
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring transparency and trust in financial operations. This includes developing company decks and distributing financial dashboards
- Operational Efficiency: Work closely with other departments to identify and implement efficiencies that can enhance financial performance and support operational goals across the organization.
- Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects: Provide financial analysis and insights for special projects, ad hoc requests, and cross-departmental initiatives to support business decision-making.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to ensure budgets and financial plans are accurately represented and adhered to, promoting a culture of financial accountability and collaboration across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management. Healthcare finance is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Financial Statements and Accounting Principles.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
- Expertise in financial software (e.g., Excel, Accounting systems, and FP&A tools).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
