What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst position at NewGen Administrative Services?
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Reports to the Director of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Analytics and should be able to perform the following tasks
- Full cycle accounting for several Skilled Nursing Facilities
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation including review of outstanding checks
- Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation including research to clear outstanding items
- Accrual of missing expenses
- Prepaid Expense monitoring and amortization
- Fixed Assets Depreciation
- Preparation of Financial Reports
- Prepare reports for submission to the county and other government units (571-L, census, EEO1, etc.)
- Work closely with General Accounting and AP departments
- Coordinate with Facility Personnel in obtaining information needed in Special Projects
- Support in Accounting Process Review and Improvement
- Support in BI Projects
- Perform relevant Data Analysis for Management Reports
- Support in Dashboard creation and enhancement
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a GL accountant preferably in the health care industry
- Strong experience in Monthly, Quarterly and Year end close, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Highly advanced Excel skills
